2012 SERVICE AWARD ANNOUNCED

We are pleased to announce that The National Association for Children of Alcoholics, UK (NACOA-UK – www.nacoa.org.uk) has been selected to receive NACoA's 2012 Meritorious Service Award which recognizes outstanding programming by a NACoA affiliate to raise public awareness of the needs of children of alcoholics (COAs) during Children of Alcoholics Week.

In making this award, we salute NACOA-UK for its powerful programming and effective outreach. We recognize its moving YouTube video to Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come" and the ongoing sale of the song – with talent donated by the artists – on iTunes. The sales help support NACOA-UK's important mission and its hotline for children of alcoholics in Great Britain. The award also recognizes the effectiveness of NACOA-UK's targeted website www.coaweek.org, including the celebrities from many fields in the UK bringing messages of hope and healing to COAs in their country and beyond.
