TitleTobacco-Free You & Me. Smokescreen. Smokeless Tobacco: A Spittin Image
Accession Number:PMD09490
Abstract:"Tobacco-Free You & Me," shows a class of elementary school students learning about tobacco. They learn about advertising and its influence on children, smokeless tobacco, second hand smoke, and what they can do to help stop the use of tobacco products. "Smokescreen" presents the story of the former Winston Man, Dave Goerlitz. He tells how he became addicted to smoking and ended up having a stroke. He uses comedy to educate children about the dangers of smoking and the truth about tobacco advertising. "Smokeless Tobacco: A Spittin' Image" interviews individuals who use smokeless tobacco. They tell how hard it is to quit, how they look and smell funny, and how expensive it is to use this type of tobacco.
