Abstract:This video presents successful prevention programs throughout the United States which can be adapted for other community's use. Some of the programs presented include: "Across Ages" which is a program where older people become mentors for young adults in Philadelphia, PA; "Shake-a-Leg" a program in Newport, RI, for the disabled which helps them realize their potential and helps prevent substance abuse; and "TEDI" (The Entrepreneurial Development Institute) in Washington, DC, which helps young people develop their own businesses.
